Children’s Ministry at FBC

Our Mission is “to see kids and families transformed by the good news of the Gospel.”

At First Baptist Church:

We’re all about building a solid, Christ-centered foundation for our kids! Our goal is to help each child grow closer to God and become lifelong followers of Jesus, all while having a great time and making awesome memories.

We know kids are the next generation, crucial both to society and God’s kingdom. We are so excited to be part of the journey for your children as they build a firm foundation for their lives. (Matthew 19:14; Matthew 7:24-27)

We’re here to team up with parents in teaching their kids about Scripture and guiding them to become disciples of Jesus. We believe it’s the church’s mission to unite and nurture the next generation in their faith journey, as we’re called to “train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6).

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6

Programs:

On Sunday we offer several spaces for your children during the 9:00 am or 10:45 am services.

  • The Nursery for Infants and Toddlers.

  • The Pre-school for 3-4-Year-Olds

  • fbcKIDS which has three classrooms, Kindergarten to Grade 1, Grade 2-3, and Grade 4-5.

On Wednesday we host SPARK Kids Club for kids from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

  • This is from 5:45-7:00 pm at the church!

What to Expect

FBC KIDS:

On a Sunday, kids start upstairs for the worship time with their families before being dismissed down to Sunday school downstairs.

Once downstairs, the kids will join a main session where they will go over the days lesson, memory verse, and big picture question before going to their age-appropriate classrooms.

In the classrooms, kids can look forward to crafts, games, and lesson review before they are picked up by their parents.

SPARK:

SPARK is so much fun! Each week we meet up at the church with some free time in the gym. Afterwards, we go into the sanctuary to learn the lesson for the week and pray. We then split up into age groups and go to stations that have crafts, gym games, and a surprise station that is different every week.
